johnson2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Report Share Posted October 31, 2011 so i bought this banshee and on it came a set of fmf gnarly pipes, uni foam filter, and boyseen reeds, and i rebulit both carbs but obviliously now its stock jetting and the original jet numbers are unreadable. so now its running lean and im trying to rejet it but its been kicking my ass. its about 45 F temp outside and im at about 900 ft elevation. can someone help fml... So Cal Banshee Posted October 31, 2011 Report Share Posted October 31, 2011 Assuming you have stock mikuni carbs... 27.5 pilot jet, 1.5/2 turns on air screw, 280-300 mains, needle in center clip. I'd start at 300 main to be safe n work ur way down if ur bogging down. Can also check FMF site, they have all recommended starting points for all their pipes.. Good luck n hope this helps.. So Cal Banshee Posted October 31, 2011 Report Share Posted October 31, 2011 Also don't forget, the slides need to be reinstalled correctly, sides w/cutouts towards air filters and left slide in left carb right slide in right carb, you should see the dots on slides line up w/window on body when fully open.
