Jayce
Are you supposed to still use the metal gasket with a cool head? Or does it just use the o rings?

BigRed350x
Don't use both, it will cause you more headaches & leaks than you want to deal with. Make sure you check your squish clearance before you take off riding. Depending on who you talk to good squish is between .035 and .055" I like mine around .048" If its too tight or too loose, change your base-gasket thickness. - Jared

Jayce
Thank you guys for the info! I have one more question, the cool head came with a brass piece that screws into the top of the head, what is it for? Overflow? And it seems to be tight before it appears to be all the way in, do I just leave it there? And does it just sit on top, like nothing connects to it? Sorry for all the questions, I really appreciate your guys' help tho!
jbooker82
A small hose that goes to the top of the radiator goes there. It keeps air from becoming traped in the back of the head since the motor doesnt sit straight.
