wacko2000
So last weekend we decided to camp/ride for my buddys bday. Sat i was just messing around in this small bowl on the shee, rear tire caught a root and in slow motion the bike bucked me off and i really didnt brace myself, considering i was only in 2nd gear and was going to land in sand, well i must have landed just perfect that i felt my shoulder pop. Shoulder instantly blew up and my bone was popping out of the top of my shoulder, brother and friends brought me to the emergency room, they did some xrays and the jerkoff doctor that was working the emergency room looked over the xrays and told me i was just fine, maybe some bad bruising possibly a tear or something. Tells me to go home and just ice it up.. MOnday i went and see a specialist bc the pain was pretty intense and i knew there was something going on in there,i brought the xrays from saturday night, it took him less than 2 seconds to see a 1'' ac separation and fracture in my shoulder, sending me for a mri to see if i have any tears or other damage. Hoping the MRI doesnt bring any surprises. Im 26 and fairly fit, hope it heels up 100% Im out of work for at least 4 weeks banghead

Infamous039
Joe that was a crazy day riding, Im glad we didnt try to pop it back into place cause it could have caused more damage. Take it easy bro, and just relax and allow it to full heal up before you begin working again.
sidewayz
i did the same thing 2 yrs. ago. the quad never even rolled all the way over but as i tried to push it back over on all fours i knew it was broke. the bone will heal fine, but the seperation sucks. mine still bothers me a lot. good luck, do get the MRI. It will tell you way more than an x ray.
SNTBANSHEE
I'm with ya brother. 7 weeks ago we were out playing around in the mud and my shee hooked when i was expecting it to slide, so I got bucked off. I tucked and rolled and when I got up my collar bone was sticking up. We hit the ER and then the Orthopaedist and i had a grade 5 AC sepereation. 4 weeks of physical therapy and it got no better so I had reconstructive surgery 2 weeks ago and they tell me 6 weeks in the sling and then 12 weeks of therapy. Heal quick and avoid surgery.

WINDYCITYJOHN400
That blows man. Im 28 and dont heal as fast as I used too. Good luck! I'm 41....you don't know the half of it. Just wait. At this age you don't heal......you just mend. In your teens you don't worry. In your 20's you think " Oh, that's going to leave a mark." In your 30's you think " That's going to take a while to heal......Dang, that really hurts" In your 40's you think " I'm going to feel some version of this pain every morning for the rest of my life." In your 50's you think " I can move everything...but just let me lay here for a few minutes...Load my machine up for me will ya? I'm done....No, Seriously I'm done. My shits for sale. Maybe I'll get a side x side....." In your 60's you think "Wow, what a nice day to play golf...I think I'll drive the cart to save wear on my knees/hips." If your in your 70's, a site member and reading this........ Wow!
wacko2000
Well it been almost 4 weeks, I feel alittle better but still have pain. My job is very physical so I must be 100% before i got back. Normal revovery for this is 6-8 weeks, chest xray showed 2 fractured ribs aswell banghead As for the "doc", Im assuming he was the doc on call for the night, but he didnt not care about me at all, wrote me a prescription for pain and sent me on my way. Come to find out, I had grade 3 separation, fractured shoulder, torn ligaments, and 2 fractured ribs.. What a jerkoff.. lol thankfully im young and healthy and hoping I heel up 100% Joe
