Coolant in cyl + tranny oil :(

Hey guys! I have a big problem with my ''trail'' banshee ..... i had the motor rebuilted 3 months ago by a local shop (crank, pistons).

I didn't used this shee since (idled for 5mins then ride 2mins on my yard, parked the thing & dropped some lubricant in the cylindres) .

Last week i decided to ride it a little bit so i cleaned the carbs and went for it but when the motor Got hot (normal running temp) it started running weird + white smoke in right pipe ... so i parked the bi**h and Got back to work .. had a busy week at work and finally yesterday i had a little spare time so i cranked the shee ** seized** :( .

Took the head off and suprise!! Files with rust on the right cyl ... Took the cylinders off and checked all the gaskets ( couldn't fins a defect or water mark on any gaskets :( .. checked the tranny oil and its filled with coolant .... i'm fu***ng pissed! !

Any idea of wth is going wrong? Water pump seal + crank seal?

Thanks

Chris

maybe bad head gasket/ o-ring. plus if you blow an o-ring or similar its best to dump the coolant and drain the cyls and start it if you dont have time to pull the head and get it all out.

call the shop that built it.

If everything is put together right there is no way for water to get from the cylinders into the tranny so if you have water in the cylinder and in the tranny then you have 2 separate issue I would take it back to the shop that did the work and have them figure out what the hell is going on.

Trust me i would love to bring it back to the shop ... only problem is they went out of buisness (I now know why) ... I usually do mechanic myself but i did not have time to do so back then :(

I figured the oil/coolant mess ... its the o-ring from the case dump tube (coolant) that is leaking i'll replace that. As for the coolant inside the right cyl, still don't understand but probably the head gasket (even if i dont see water marks on the gasket ... i'll change cyl. jackets also. Thanks 4 your help guys ... i'll let u know :)

So by having the shop do it because you were to buisy you gained 5 minutes Idle time, and 2 minutes ride time. Guess it would have been better to leave it parked broken until you could get around to doing it your self. But then again you would have missed that 2 minute ride.
