jeramey100
Ok so ive held off from posting about this but here goes. I removed the TORS on my shee, drilled and tapped the carbs put it all back together synced up and it wouldnt hold an idle. So i came here and looked around a bit and came to the conclusion i might not have taken enough material off the carb so i took it down to the threads of the tapped hole. Before re-installing this time i took the jets out and made sure they were clean. This time when i fired it up it held an idle without the brass idle screws in it, i let it warm up and it still held an idle just fine but if i cover the holes where the brass screws should be or put the screws in the bike will die, i can hear it pulling air in through the holes. The idle its hollding without the screws is pretty decent, not too high and im almost posotive that its not the throttle cable holding the slides open more then it should when syncing they sit right on the bottom of the carb soooo any ideas? bigger pilot jet? 300 mains 25 pilot 3rd clip on needle air screws 1.5 turns out k&n air filter with box cut
decon
Have your tried adjusting the idle screws all the way in? Carb top's adjusted properly? Make sure that tapered hole is filed down and has a completely FLAT and even surface, also make sure you used the right size tap for that idle screw (Shouldn't be hard to screw that up since it's included in the Tors Removal Kit). There is another topic about this in the same repairs & mods section (http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=147682)
