volcrano
sure can.i use s.o.s. pads.the soap helps.dont be afraid to give it some ass power when scrubbing.u wont hurt em.then get some good metal polish like blue magic, prism polish or comparable.if u got a buffer u can make em look new.if not by hand works well to but not like a buffer. jbooker82
SOS pads may be ok on crappy rusty pipes but I wouldnt use them on good chrome. You will scratch and put swirls in the chrome.
crash&burn
i've used sos pads for years on chrome new and old works well. I was taught to go back and forth with the sos pads not in circles or you will leave the swirls and then a quick hand polish always helps after being done. jbooker82
I would start out with 0000 steel wool. When your done polishing wipe them down with Acetone. It will remove left over polish and finger prints for a grease free shine.
BigRed350x
I prefer a 3hp grinder with a rough stone or stainless steel wire-wheel. LOL! Yeah, don't do that.... I found some no-scratch SOS pads at Walmart and use them on nasty pipes. Seems to work ok.
volcrano
ive done tons of pipes.they look new when im done.thats the way i do it.if u dont polish them after why use any steel wool on em?if u gotta use any abrasive wool,ur shit aint nice chrome anyway.too bad i didnt have good before pics, the set of trinitys i got were beat and now look new using sos and buffer method. jbooker82
I guess to me cleaning pipes is just that. A general cleaining, not restoring old rusted chrome. If the pipes are not junk rusted chrome I wouldnt use any steel wool. Steel wool isnt going to touch these. Or at least not until they are junk.
