dirtydownunder
pull the clutch cover off, and check out the shift arm spring and adjustment bolt. check the shift star lever spring too. you might have to pull the clutch basket off to fully see the star and the selector. camatv
this is one of the most common repairs i do here. you need: shift shaft, plastic spacer, spring, alignment pin, lock washer and lock nut, also a clutch cover gasket and 2 qts of bottom end fluid and some coolant. replace ALL of it or you will have a problem again. blubyyou
Cam will this fix this problem? Reason I ask is that I have the same problem on mine too. I have a HJR 4mil and I have difficulty with 4 5 and 6. 1-3 shifts great. I was going to tear it apart and do a cut transmission. I can't really use an override since I xc/woods ride and would be back loading a lot. If this would fix my issue I'd much rather go this route.
