Mdsuz750
I need to buy a new stator, I found a brand called Accel "# 152550 Stator" I read all the reviews about the other companies out there but did not see any review on this company. The say they make stators for harley so i take that as a plus. I am not running any special lights so not sure if I should get a high output one. But I do have some mods and I am looking to up grade my cdi box and coil so maybe I should get a high output. Can anyone lead me in the right direction. Thanks
rubberneck
If you do not need more power for bigger lights, then there is absolutely no reason to get a bigger stator. In fact a lot of us have had such problems with aftermarket stators that we have gone back to stock. I would personaly just find a good used unit. They are for sale on here all the time. If you ever do need more juice for bigger lights, float the ground on the stock stator, and convert the bike over to DC and go to LED or HID lights. That is my next move. Thanks ALL high output stators are high output on the lighting side only, there is no high output on the ignition side. I would find a good used factory stator, if you need high output go to Electrosport for one.
