On some of the wide open paths we ride we have to slow it down a notch or two & I want/need some useable power in the mid range. Agressive dune port is? Like I stated before I DO NOT want all top end. I'm looking for a strong mid-top durations. Let me know how you like your dune port when you get a chance to try it out. NO I never rode a cub, but I rode a 4mil w/ 400 LA Sleeve topend w/ drag port. Assuming there similar set-ups. Made me almost shit my pants....lol...I just didn't like when you release the throttle & rpms drop it wouldn't get right back on the pipe unless you clutched it. I got a TT flat track porting from HJR which is identical to a dune port / aggressive dune port..I got 128 TRN's and 196 exhaust.... i got plenty of mid - top with my r2's. only issue is hooking up... i think on a dune port you can control the power with proper pipe selection.... Hell depending on how one riding scene to another is... you can have more then 1 pipe to run... EX... going to the dunes slap on your shears.... going trail riding maybe slap on a dif pipe to give you that low end the shears lack.. also.. you dont need to ask for a dune port directly... you can always contact a builder saying I want a dune style port but more im willing to sacrafice some top end for more mid... ext.... they will match the porting to what you ask.. when i was talking to kevin I told him I did oval and closed circuit flatt track ice racing.... some are open ovals and some have some good tight turns... he told me he ported it to my ride style / mods and also my weight seeing I weight 230 lbs he prob ported it to give a little more bottom mid to lug my ass around! lol Good write up...
