Glamis321
My motor is stock porting, +4 timing, pump gas, original rockets and i will be running pod filters. I bought 33s awhile ago for a serval I'm going to build but that got put on hold for awhile. I'd rather run the 33s because the pod filters slip off my stock ones. So will I be able to run the 33s without losing a bunch of power? If so any jetting recommendations? I'm at sea level and ride almost exclusively in the dunes. Thanks. Would it be ideal for stock porting...No. Stock carbs will run on a 65-70HP bike with no problems. I still run stock carbs on my Wildcard racing aggressive dune ported 350. I do ride at 5,000ft but the stock carbs run awesome for me. The main key is to not over carb your bike, or it wont run right and will be a pain to dial in IMO. The 33s have ridges that would keep the pods on unlike my stockers, which is the only reason I'm considering putting them on. My filters slip off the stock carbs after 20 min of hard riding

My filters slip off the stock carbs after 20 min of hard riding When you put the filters on your stock carbs, make sure the clamps are all the way forward (towards the motor). Don't try and go off of the filter, go off the carb. They need to be grabbing on the entire carb flange. I've ran pods on stock carbs for years and never had a filter some off. also make sure you are using the correct clamps. If installed right they shouldn't come off. lms1977
why not put a few small ridges on the stock carbs with a dremal and small cut off wheel?
guns4children
step 1. Put the pods on the stock carbs. step 2. Take a few Zip-Ties and strap those fuckers to the carbs. step 3. BBbRrrAAAPpp.

Glamis321
They were pushed on as far as they would go. They were fairly old filters tho and the rubber seemed a little stiff though so maybe that contributed.
