badassbanshe
I have to rebuild my transmission. While I have it apart I want to have the crank welded. Where is the best place to have this done?
badassbanshe
No necessarily looking for cheapest. I am picky an want quality and no worries down the road.

Strm Trpr
What are your power goals? People say if you're looking to make 60whp or more, its not worth it to weld the stocker and it might be worth your while to do a 4mil stroker. Then later when you have more money you can pick up a Serval monoblock cylinder and make 80whp on pump gas. Talk to Jeff at FAST. http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/index.asp Andy at M&M http://www.mmatvonline.com/ Kevin at Herr Jugs Racing http://www.herrjugsracing.com/ Edited September 18, 2011 by Strm Trpr
Beastydeuce
I read the title and thought this was a post about my ex- wife for a minute. She turned out to be McDonalds of crank servicing..... Didn't mean to derail, but I read that and couldn't stop laughing. Back to the serious business...... badassbanshe
My motor is stock other than a cool head with 20cc. I don't plan to up the horse power for a while, nor do I plan to go extreme. Just want a well rounded and reliable bike. Welding it has been recommended to me by several people as preventive maintenance while its apart.

Banshee Chad
I'll do it. Just picked up a welder... Haven't welded in over 10 yrs. But I'm sure I can still do it.. plus looks don't matter as its just inside the motor, no one will see.

Banshee Chad
That's scary. Not scary, as long as its just a lobe and not a hard to get to spot I'm sure I can weld her right up. I like to put Jb weld over top of it too if looking smooth is important, that shit will cover anything..
