BigNasty
Since you don't like what I'm doing for the atv asphalt drag racers & for the atv drag manufacturer's.You should be posting how you feel on Planet Sand,Planet Asphalt and Drag Bike.com. Shut down what I'm going for the sport. Don't be scared. Go for it.. All Planet Asphalt events are posted on other sites too.Talking about Blood Money and other draggers too. Rick's plans got changed b/c of his work. After this topic was posted. I don't get on here much. Sorry that Rick isn't going to make it to the Race, but I do agree with the Power to Weight Ratio it will be a Challange to get the power to the Ground and be successful. It can be done with a lot of tunning. It won't happen over night at all. Most of ya'll know this. There are a lot of Quick bikes out there that are proven Track runners we could be talking about and making positive comments towards improving our Asphalt Sport. imho this is where we should be headed anyway. If Rick keeps the Bike and puts it on Adphalt, once its dialed in it will be Very quick. I personally don't care anything about getting there that quickly, but admire those that do. Best of luck Rick. I hope you keep the bike, I'd love to see a Vid of it on Asphalt running a low 5 that would be Bad A$$.

Ron, you are unreal...noone said they didnt like what your doing for the sport, MOST all of us involved in this industry want it to expand and get more recognition. MOST of us want to see the sport grow and see NEW people come in to the sport as well as the old-timers continue to set new records, weather it be asphalt or sand drags MOST all of us have the same goal and want the sport to grow into something much more than it is. Now on that note, what n2o was trying to get across and what im going to try and get across is, its things exactly like what your doing that have hurt our sport so badly. Noone is trying to shut you down, noone ever said they wanted that. Im with n2o on being sorry rick had to be drug into this, and completely understand plans change and understand you advertising that he was going to be there and now he cant make it, that has nothing to do with what were trying to point out. The fact that you stated that the bike HAS ran 5.20s when infact it has never made a pass down an asphalt track is what im getting at. Then you say you should have worded it and said it will run in the 5.20s...I agree it should/will and hopefully does and would be EXTREMELY happy to see that happen for rick,...but it hasnt happened yet and all im getting at is please for the sake of the sport dont advertise your events with lies, lies are what have hurt our sport SO SO badly, when people come to your events expecting to see a bike run 5.20s that has never even went down the asphalt track that is only setting up the spectators, racers up for dissapointment and that is what will hurt your events....Im not taking anything away from rick and his bike...its a work of art...i witnessed it set the limited 4cyl record on sand and it is one BAD machine. Heck with 5.20s i would love to see it go 5.10s...but just dont advertise it has happened until it DOES....

Ron is subject to errors like the rest of us are. I hate that it was worded like it was as a missleading Statement. Sometimes we all get carried away, its only natural when you see a work of Art like Rick has. But we all know it was in error ( hope we do). It would be cool to just try to let it go and move forward from here. No one wants to be misslead, I certainly don't. Ron is burning it at both ends right now trying to Help us but sometimes things like this happen. If this can all come togeather it can be a really good thing. There are others out there swinging away at it also. I would love to see the Sport Take Off. Most of ya'll know I was a Sand Racer at Heart in the Beginning, but due to the Tracks being to far to Race like I want to, I run Asphalt now. That is, when I'm not Key Board Racing lmao. wow 2 Posts I'm on a roll....

I posted later that I posted wrong about what Blood Money is running. I didn't read what I wrote before posting the topic. A simple mistake from typing toooo fast. I never said a damn thing about shutting you down, moving forward I just want ALL promoters to do it in a professional and gainful manner. You wrote what you wrote trying to gain some attendance to watch this monster that Rick owns. It wasnt in error and we both know it. There was a later question by j-madd that asked about the MPH and at one point you had given an answer to the MPH question and later deleted it. You said Tim had built many of them, yet another false statement. Its over with, Im over it, you admitted you were wrong, now your over it, done deal. I DO THINK that you are trying to contact the large coorporate sponsorship people like redbull and lucas and a few other that you mentioned in other places. I DO FEEL that you want this sport to grow. It needs to grow or its gonna go by the wayside. People are getting close to tossing in the towel on building 30k bikes just for the fun of it. The ONLY thing thats gonna stop that from happening is money. And the money is never gonna be there without LARGE coorporate sponsorship backing and I think you realize that and will try and make it happen. I think that pavement racing is where these coorprate comapnies need to start their backing. Sand will follow but often the speed of the event of sand is so slow because of track prep that they will shy away from it. So in an indirect way you are kinda in the drivers seat now... Put the pedal to the metal and drive this bitch into the future and make this sport mainstream..

I have been sending many emails and calling Red Bull,Monster,Go Fast and others that could help the sport. Deadlines are coming up soon for sponsorships in 2012 But we need more exposure to get noticed. Starting in 2012. Having a atv asphalt drag events during the Manufacturer's Cup (november) at South Georgia Motorsports Park. We would get tons of exposure from that event.. There is over 800+ drag bike racers at that event every year. Over 50 manufacturer's too. Yes I do smoke my dinner.. LOL.. BigNasty
Like some of ya'll, I am in close contact with Ron. We Talk or Text daily and talk about which way to go and how to go about it. Passing ideas back and forth. This is what its all about, communication. Ron is Pushing Hard to get Big Name Sponsors involved in the Sport. And John is right, regaurdless which sector succeeds Asphalt or Sand the other will follow suite. IMHO I think we are lucky to have Ron that has the Dedication and Drive to do what he does. I talk to him and he is in The Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, ect. Allways talking to Track Owners, Builders, Potential Sponsors. Now Ron isn't the only person making Contacts and Driving the Sport in what we all hope is in the right direction. Questions are being asked to a lot of People what they think the Sport needs and gathering input. I don't want to give out names of others as it isn't my place, but it is a consourted effort and all of us are in communication from time to time in one way or another. I assure you the best interests of the Sport are at Heart.
