sandshred25 Posted September 16, 2011 Report Share Posted September 16, 2011 for some reason i decided to use full choke to start my bike (i dont know why),, normally three kicks with half choke and she fires right up.. well now i have fuel coming out of the bottom over flow and i kick and kick and nothin.. the ? is ,, would full choke have caused my bike to flood? and of course now what?? thanks for all the help you guys have given me Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

May have to do a carb rebuild. i pulled carbs apart and cleaned them really good,, i do think my floats are a little out of adjustment,, the thing is , she fired right up the night before after cleaning the carbs, at half choke,, the next day is when i used full choke,, and couldnt get her to fire,, the plugs were soaking wet..thanks for the feed back.. ive got the carbs off right now to adjust floats,, then im gonna run down and grab some plugs,, Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

sandshred25 Posted September 16, 2011 Author Report Share Posted September 16, 2011 What are your mods and jetting? dune port and polish, milled stock carbs, sleeved at stock bore, cool head, v force reeds , welded crank, toomey t5's, (not sure what dome size), i run 50/50 110/premium at 40:1, 330 main jet, 27.5 pilot,, i normally ride at sand mt nevada wich is just above 4000 ft,, im headed to coos bay oregon on sunday wich is sea level..thanks for the help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

n2otoofast4u Posted September 17, 2011 Report Share Posted September 17, 2011 I'd be really careful. It's entirely possible that if its running over a large amount is in your bottom end. If it fires it could hydro lock. Pull the plugs and kick it. Have someone hold their finger tight over the plug hole and see if it draws fuel up. I'm betting it does! sandshred25 Posted September 18, 2011 Author Report Share Posted September 18, 2011 well she fired up,, still not sure what the problem was,,took about a hundred kicks,, a little smoke and she seems to be fine...thank goodness, suppose to leave for oregon with my daughter in the morning,, i was starting to sweat it,,FOR REAL... bout kicked my butt,, shred on!!!
