94Mike
Hey HQ, What were the benefits of banshees switching over from j arm's to a arm's? Also are their any benefits with j-arms? I know this is more of a suspension question but im asking this in a general sense... EDIT: Before anyone posts that why am i asking... This is just a question. Edited September 16, 2011 by 94Mike

4MiLLDraGSheE
Thats the worst answer ever. Stellar makes sweet a arms too!
lms1977
Other than a little more strength and the bushings will last longer I don't really see the point of converting to a arm. You might have more suspension options as far as width & long travel with the a arm setup.
94Mike
I see, thanks guys. I have always wanted to look for an 87 because of the originality.
Larry's Shee
I don't know if the upper bushings wear any faster, but being closer together a little wear amounts to more slop at the ball joints. Pick up some bronze bushings and your good to go for longer.
gomerkfx700
how much lighter is a j-arm banshee then a a-arm
CFH87
I would say at LEAST 15 lbs because of all the bracing that's used on a arms plus all extra materials. http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/378626_308423485850348_100000480982771_1327191_1814950592_n.jpg 87 J arm ftw! RC418
I've got an 87 Banshee, I've had the bike for about ten years or so and I'm just now replacing the J-arms due to slop. Stellar is in the process of making me a +2 +1 chrome set.....Cant wait!
