Toffey1984
Hey guys, I'm new here. I have an '06 banshee with CPI pipes. This is my first quad and I got it with all of the mods done to it. I live in the NW where we need to have spark arrestors. I looked at my silencers and they are not stamped anywhere saying they are spark arrestors. I've looked on the CPI site and searched for spark arrestor and nothing is found. Does anybody know if I'm able to use off brand? Or what the best soulution is? Thank you so much for any help!
4MiLLDraGSheE
CPI doesnt make any, easiest or best way is just buy some cobra sparkys 2.5 inchers i believe and throwem on. But i have also seen some guys chop and bore their silencers and modify the trinity silencers and they look alot better...

Toffey1984
Would I be able to get new silencers with spark arrestors in them from another compony that would be compatible with the CPI pipes?
jbooker82
Would I be able to get new silencers with spark arrestors in them from another compony that would be compatible with the CPI pipes? Not really. You would have to cut both the CPI and FMF's silencer's stinger tubes. The small pipe that conects between the expansion chamber and silencer body. You could cut them and graft them back to gether so they would work but it might not look the best. You could always cover it up with a heat wrap. CPI Silencers with Trinity Spark Arrestors before polishing. After.
06specialedition
Would I be able to get new silencers with spark arrestors in them from another compony that would be compatible with the CPI pipes? I can't remember his screen name on here, but there is a guy who runs pro circuit silencers with his CPI pipes. Maybe look into something like that. Banshee Chad
I run my stockers when I hit the mountains. Cut em so they are close, and use high heat silicon hose to connect, but I'm gonna weld up some new pipe to make it fit perfect? They don't change anything but sound that I've noticed. Maybe after I get my perfect fit. I'll sell the cpi ones??

Larry's Shee
My son used SS dràin screens in his FMFs at SLake last year no problems. His bud with a 400ex had to buy an arrester at the store right there, $30-40 , fell apart within half hour, but was already in, so didn't matter. Larry's Shee
he put SS drains in a shee silencer? What kind of silencers is he running...I need this for SL. Just plain FMF silencer.. Recently switched to DMC 916 and I put two in the can between tubes and end cap. IF they ( DNR ) wanted to be assholes they could, drain screen isn't as fine and you don't have Forestry stamp/sticker. JDS has kits with screens and genuine U.S.F.S. aproved stickers. I had thoughts of getting a metal stamp kit from Harbor freight and stamping the can with U.S.F.S. bs with stock silencer numbers.
