06bluebanshee
Hi I would like to replace my stock rubber orange exhaust clamp things!! They don't seem to be holding up to well. What do you guys suggest as far as making my own? Just some silicone tubing from the hardware store and some old fashion hose clamps? Or do I have to buy some fancy ones for like 50 bucks? vifferman
Probably better not to use hardware store parts. you can usually find OEM replacements on here, or E-bay, when other people buy the pretty ones. The Cascade ones are nice but it's just for looks.
06specialedition
I prefer the nicer clamps, they are worth it IMO. Hit up Wildcard Racing, they can get you what you need for a good price
Larry's Shee
Hit up any place that makes hydrolic hoses, ain't pretty but will last Edited September 2, 2011 by Larry's Shee
bigblockbanshee
Or just reorder the stock stuff and be done with it maybe? I had Cascade clamps on mine and not only did they not fit well with my combination but I couldn't get them to fit exactly how I wanted on the pipe/stinger so I sold them. I had a brand new factory exhaust stowed away that just so happened to have a set of stock rubbers and clamps on them and the rest is history. I haven't had a single problem with them since, they look factory because, well, they are, and there is tons more room to work around them than the Cascade clamps offered which is probably one of the better reasons why I prefer them over aftermarket.
