blackbansheeboy
Was hoping that the banshee guys can help me out here. I put new a-arms and shocks on my banshee and bled the brakes... but nothing happened I get plenty of brake fluid out at the brakes but there's no brakes still. bigblockbanshee
Make sure everything is tight and there are no leaks whatsoever and keep trying. Keep plenty of fluid handy as well and keep the M/C as full as possible. I'm assuming you're doing it correctly in the first place... Phelps
you either have to bleed them backwards (from the caliper up with a pump) or just set there and barely tap the brake lever until you see tiny bubbles coming up. doing it that way will take a while! Phelps
You mean fill them backwards with a pump, right? yes. a hand held pump and force oil through the bleeder valve.
Coupelx
open both bleeders and let gravity do something other than make you fall down when drunk. just keep the reservoir full. if your bleeders are loose in their threads wrapping teflon tape around them helps keep air out. blackbansheeboy
Ive done the reverse pumping and it didn't do anything and ive just sat on the bike and pumped, and all the lines are tight.
LS3 Machine
It just takes time and patience. Walk away from it for an hour or 2, then try again. I did that and it worked for me. I agree with the gravity technique as well.... just loosen the bleed screws a bit, fill the reservoir, and walk away for an hour. Then try pump and bleed. Once you get some pressure (U will), you may have to ride the bike a few times, and bleed again in between. tap the calipers and lines and reservoir lightly with the 8mm wrench too. Good Luck, Tim
locogato11283
I can bleed front and back brakes in less than 5 minutes. All you need is a Mityvac. They're about $40 from an auto parts store. It's an invaluable tool. Why dick around with gravity bleeding when you can use a pump?

Coupelx
gravity saves me $40 for hookers and blow.
4MiLLDraGSheE
My brake rear brake line is massively long for like a plus 14 and it took maybe five mins to do. Wife was at the back closing and cracking open and i pumped them shot out fluid in like 4 mins. Make sure ur using the right kind of fluid? Maybe ur using something too viscouse
locogato11283
gravity saves me $40 for hookers and blow. My therapist said I had to quit those, so I bought a Mityvac.
LS3 Machine
I can bleed front and back brakes in less than 5 minutes. All you need is a Mityvac. They're about $40 from an auto parts store. It's an invaluable tool. Why dick around with gravity bleeding when you can use a pump? Sometimes brand new brake lines and hard to get the pressure started. I just installed A Arms and SS lines, and even with my friend's mity vac, it took a while to get the brake lever to build pressure. Ive had this problem on other bikes when going from a dry system as well. Take your 8mm wrench and tap on the calipers, then tap on the lines, then on the master cylinder. Keep pumping the hand brake, open one of the bleed screws for a second, and close right away, keep pumping, and open again for a second. repeat this on both sides. It takes some patience for the stubborn ones. But somehow it just seems to majically build pressure. Mity Vac definately helps. Also taking a break from it for an hour seems to help (even mentions this in the manual). Good luck and keep us posted.
