4MiLLDraGSheE
I dont know much about runnin on alky and dont really have plugs to look at cuz i purged it after i ran it. I will post pics asap. So i have a hjr drag port 4 mill stock cylinder with 39 pwks with power jets. I dont know what theyre set at but i have br8es plugs gapped at .018 amd for the little time i did run it i had fuel coming out the exhaust a little bit. Im assuming im running rich ive been reading up quite a bit recently but dont know how to adjust this stuff. Should i just lean it a touch or just turn down the powerjet? I have v force 3 reeds override tranny if that matters and i live in michigan. Let me know what u think if theyres a better plug out there for me let me know. blackedout96
I usually dial mine in with just the pj. I thought br9's were a must with alky but I could be wrong
RadarRacing
You can still check those plugs because you arent looking at brown color, you are looking for the flat base of the plug at the end of the threads and seeing if the nickle plating is burned on the flat part and how much it is burned. You'd like to see some of that plating turned a flat dull gray color and if its rich it wont burn any and if its right a burn mark will start moving half way around the base. Like from 9 to 3 Oclock. RadarRacing
To answer your question, yes you will have to have it under a load and wide open throttle to get any burn on your plugs. The good thing is that that burn on a plug stays on there so you can ride back to the truck or whatever and look at em.
