lms1977
I am testing the electrial pcs. and the coil seems to be bad. I check the - side to the plug caps and got nothing, then took the caps off and checked again and got nothing, then took the wires out of the coil and tested again nothing. checked the wires themselfs and got .1 ohms checked the caps and got 5450 on one and 5800 on the other. my problem is it runs great but when I come to a hill it bogs could it still run with the coil like this or am I checking it wrong. Thanks Mike

Starwriter
The Clymer is wrong for testing the coil. The correct way is plug wire to plug wire without the caps, and it should be 5,000 to 7,000 ohms. About 5,000 each for the caps is right if you are running non resistor plugs.
