Banshee Won't Idle

Well, I would like to say I am new to the forum and new to the world of the Banshee. I picked one up a few days ago and it runs great on the mid to top end but it won't idle. When you first start it up it idles fine(no choke) for 20 seconds or so and then dies. Once warmed up it won't idle and seems boggy on the bottom end. It does not have instant throttle response when revving it up. The mods--T-5's. TORS elim. kit, boost bottle, and pro flo intake. The head was supposed to have been shaved for higher compression but with the stock bore. I have no idea where to start other than cleaning the carbs(which I have not done). I live in Missouri so there is no crazy elevation. Some help from the experts would be great. Oh yeah, running Klotz.

Thanks--Grizz

I have checked for air leaks....none. Synched the carbs....done. Cleaned the carbs. Replaced the pilot jet with a 30 and it still won't idle and is boggy just off idle. If i recall the main jet is a 200. From what I have read on here the pilot jet would have been the culprit. Can somebody maybe give me some other ideas of what to check.

im also new to the banshee, and had a ton of problems getting it to idle, hard to start, bogging, etc

i found this link helped me out

http://www.dfn.com/agservices/jetfaq.html

my problem ended up being the tors, out of adjustment floats, one plugged pilot jet,and the float bowls on the wrong carbs, left to right are different, now it is running great, but i also had to adjust the

air/fuel screws and sync the carbs

i'm no expert with banshee's but it sounds to me that your bogging off throttle is your pilot circuit to rich, i think a 30 is too big, try the stock 25 or 27.5. and try to get your quad warm and set

your air/fuel screws when idling, fully seat the screws, not supper tight, then turn each one out,i did mine in half turns, until you get a good crisp throttle response without a bog or hesitation.

mine is 1 1/2 turns out

check out the link though

also do you have the idle screws on your carbs? i know that you can buy the tors eliminator kit in pieces, just the caps and cables, the drill, tap and idle screws come separate.

OK, so I found out what the problem was. Apparently the previously owner installed the carb slides backwards. Idles great now. Just need to fine tune the jetting.
