need help jetting keihin carb

i have a 1991 banshee stock motor with pro circuit exhaust, trinity 2 into 1 intake with a keihin 38mm carb, boisin pro stock reeds. the main was a 165 that someone drilled out to .078. the problem i am having is the plugs are running hot and it is falling on its face. where should i start at and does anyone have a same set up

I would contct ZillaFreak or Sheerider1026, I believe they have something similar to this setup, different pipes but they (i think) run the single carb and one of them is the 38mm pwk if I remember correctly. What do the plugs look like, do you have pictures? What pilot and needle jets are in the carb?

think its a 55 pilot and 146 needle

first check for any air leaks.. next is this,, single carb setups are very picky when it comes to having the correct neele.. try an EEK needle on middle clip.. what is your elevation?? i run a 165 in mine.. try a 180 and work your way down.. btw.. i have a 36mm carb

 

 

i called trinitry and they said i should use a 35mm carb with my stock setup. needle clip is on #2 and just put new gaskets on, but i will check for leaks

they say the 38mm is too much for my set up, is there truth to this or are they just trying to get me to buy a carb? just trying to get it back running without going back to stock carbs.
