3Yamaha5Banshee0
Alrighty here is my issue... i have a 2000 banshee. it has difrent reeds and a boost bottle. i want to put a set of silencers on it, im thinking of getting some FMF's; will they fit the stock pipes? because FMF pipes are just to damn loud. and i dont need the power banshee stock are fast Thanks Dustin
Phelps
the silencers determine the noise, not the pipe.... if you heard a loud ass set of fmf's you heard a set with blown out silencer packing and needed to be repacked.
camatv
the quietest pipes i EVER had were fmf SST's with fresh packing.. couldnt even hear it run hardly
06specialedition
ALOT has to do with keeping them packed. My CPI's with fresh packing aren't very loud.
fastbanshee8
Loud doesn't equal fast, but it does equal pissing off people, and giving them something to complain about. With a lot of the riding areas requiring sound checks, and/or areas getting shut down, having a loud banshee, just for the noise factor, doesn't make any sense at all. boise_banshee
I know u are not really getting your answer on stock pipes + aftermarket silencers, but really.....as stated above u can get a full pipe set up with silencers used in great condition right here on the for sale section for the same $$. Oh, yea I just repacked my SST pipe silencers and its really super low on noise. Sure the people next door thank me
Banshee Chad
I put my stock silencers with my cpi inframes. Doesn't really sound that much different and I it gives me forestry approval..
3Yamaha5Banshee0
I just bought a new set of FMF powercore 2 silencers for $150 with an extra new set of packing
jbooker82
Stock pipes + FMF silencers = Low power and More noise. FMF Expansion Chambers + Stock Silencers = More power and Less noise. By switching silencers yoru gaining noise. By swithcing headers your gaining power.
3Yamaha5Banshee0
i just put my powercore 2 silencers on and they arent loud at all, its the pipe that makes it louder
