chetgoff
putting my motor back together. I have 35mm PWk's so I have the spacers and stock intakes. Where all do I need gaskets and does it matter if the reeds are closer the motor or the spacer cloesr to the motor?
locogato11283
35mm PWK will not even fit in stock intakes. If at all possible, stay away from using the spacer. It is most commonly used to space the carb out and away from the clutch arm. I actually just bend my clutch arm down a little bit so that the carbs will clear. You will need a gasket between each part.. Examples.. Cylinder - Gasket - Reeds - Gasket - Intake Cylinder - Gasket - Reeds - Gasket - Spacer - Gasket - Intake
camatv
the OEM banshee's didnt use gaskets on the intake to reed conection but anymore i even gasket that spot just to make sure.. ditch the spacers. get the right intakes stay away from the crossover tube intakes. the chariot 2 seperate OR UPP intakes work just fine. you can even get the ones without the crossover tube holes and ditch all that crud adn clean up the motor area a lot.
