04bluyfz
I bought this motor and the crank bearings were seized, so i did a complete rebuild on the entire motor. as i am getting close to being done a decided to look at the jetting in it, it is a 4mil long rod crank 64.5 stock port, toomey t5s, boyesen(sp) reeds 6' pods. the carbs are stock opened to 28mm and the main was a 360, 25 pilot, and the needle was on the 2nd clip from the blunt end. to me tha seems way outta wack and possible why the engine might have failed to begin with. lean on the needle and pilot and way rich on the main? he was running 66mm stock port before. I was thinking of increasing the pilot to a 27.5 from what i have been reading and moving the needle back to he middle, but should the main be ok or should i drop down a little bit? i am in KC around 900'-1000' and i will be running 91 gas. Thanks in advance for your guys help Todd
