pabansheematt
The right side spark plug keeps coming loose. It did it again today. I just had Millennium replate the cylinder, weld, deck the top, ect. New pistons, domes, gaskets, ect. 492 cheetah, +4 timing, 27cc domes. 160 psi. Always ran on 93 octane. Any ideas would help. Thanks
Phelps
detonation. 160 is pretty high for 93 or could be lean deto

pabansheematt
detonation. 160 is pretty high for 93 or could be lean deto [/quote) I ran this same set up for years with no problem. The only difference is I got bigger carbs. PWK 39's 165 mains, 52 pilots, cel needle. Can't seem to get it right. It holds air, it bleeds down over an hour or so. rubberneck
You mentioned they decked the cylinder. What is your squish like? Any chance you just got some bad fuel?
Jereme6655
deto
pabansheematt
My squish is .42. What is causing this deto? And why is it only on the right side?
Jereme6655
seems to be that your runnin a pretty decent amount of compression without high octane fuel. If it were me id get some higher octane fuel (liike race gas or 103) and try mixing it.....50/50 to see if that works....
BANSHEE HP
imo 160psi is too high for 93, 100 octane or so is what i would run also .42 squish, i assume you meant .042.... .042 is tight on stock stroke, stock bored motor let alone a 4mm with 72mm+ bore. like the others, detonation is the culprit. fastquad02blaster
I'm voting on detonation too. If you are running ported cylinders, it may be a little different port to make a difference. I don't know. I'm just throwing stuff out there.
pabansheematt
I think I got the problem figured out. ( thanks to Matt Shearer ) I'll let you's know the details tomorrow, after I give it a proper test.

prssantana
I know it won't fix the initial problem but trinity has a thing that goes between the plugs to hold them in place. Of course if you weren't having the issue with detonation it probably wouldn't be worth while.

Now if they could make something to keep pistons from melting.
