barahonapr
well i just recently put the pro flow adapter kit on and cleaned my carbs out. made sure floats were set right and everything was nice and sealed. had the air screws out 1 1/2 turns and everything was running pretty good. my shee is stock besides the pro flow kit. now i rode yesterd for about an hr and it was fine. rode today for about 45 min. shut it off and when i went to turn it on it didnt want to idle. i took off and it had no power. it wouldnt even come out of first it just died.. you guys think i need a rebuild? i ended up taking the spark plugs out which were really black and looked liked shit was caked on them so i bought new ones put them oon and nothing.. bigblockbanshee
I'd start with a compression test and a leakdown test if you think it has internal damage. Afterwards pull the head off and see what the pistons and cylinders look like. Honestly, we're gonna need alot more info to be able to properly diagnose it, if it's even possible without actually being there. camatv
welp i'd do a comperssion test usually if the crank fails it will turn over really hard adn have issues or it just locks up, tosses the crank out the side of the case.. when they come to me like that i just start att eh beginning and go till i find something wrong. barahonapr
Ok don't know how to do one and where's the best place to get a compression test kit at?
Jereme6655
any auto parts store should have compression testers.....just make sure you get one that has a fitting that is the same LENGTH on the threaded section that as the spark plugs. Then take out both plugs and screw the tester into the plug hole. Then hold the throttle WIDE OPEN the entire time.....and kick it until it stops climbing in pressure. may take as many as 15-20 kicks
barahonapr
Ok I will do so today then and see how it goes. Now how should my compression look considering my bike is completely stock. Only thing I have on that isn't is the pro flow adapter with k&n filter.
barahonapr
Oh and I forgot to add since that happened my right side back fires like crazy. Every time I just tap the throttle it puffs out air and back fires..don't know if that matters or not

Every time I just tap the throttle it puffs out air and back fires..don't know if that matters or not on a stock bike you should be looking around 110-120 (depending on altitude of course) if you are below 95 you need a rebuild....or at least to pull her apart and find out what went bad..... but that's AFTER you do a compression test AND a leak down......you may have a leak that leaned your bike out so much that you burned up the motor.
