Torco GP-7

My new motor should be back together next week sometime and its time to pick a oil. I've used Klotz, Silkolene, and Amsoil in the past. I've had Klotz gunk up on me so I prefer the other two but they are getting harder and harder to come by. I checked out a couple local shops and they both carry Torco and Redline. I've heard Redline is good but eats brass in the carbs (Anyone else heard or had issues with this?) so I was leaning to the Torco but I have never heard of it except for what the people behind the counter said. Its a little pricey but I don't mind paying more for good stuff. What are your experiences with it?j If I have to I'll just order some Amsoil online but I prefer to be able to get it locally in case I run out (Don't want to mix oil brands).

Ive been using klotz(32:1) since my rebuild, and i have no signs of gunked up carbs, pipes, or internally. I actually think Klotz burns twice as clean as belray.

What kind of klotz did you use? And at what ratio? I'm going to be useing klotz S.T this season at 40:1

I used Super techniplate at 36:1. Its kinda a odd mix ratio but I seen lots of people running 40:1 with no issues so I had to build my confidence up that it was okay. This time around I will be going 40:1 once I figure out what brand I will run. I wonder if I had the gumming issue because it was cold, I always mix the gas well and shake the shit out of my tank before starts so I know that wasn't an issue.

I "Was" an Amsoil user.....now I run the Torco GP-7. Burns way cleaner. Wouldn't have really seen the difference, till we started testing on the dyno. Was kind of funny when we were running my bike and I needed more fuel, so I just used a gallon of my friends VP110 40:1 Amsoil in place of my VP110 40:1 Torco. Lots more smoke than with the Torco.

Torco=Good Stuff. :headbang:

I ran torco gp7 for three years in my last banshee 40:1 . It ran great and burns very clean. I switched to klotz super techniplate 40:1 on my new banshee due to builder recommendation. It burns a little dirtier but still good stuff.
