shanYE west
you wont need GPS for LS you wont want a steel whip ( old school 1980's BS) for the sand just get the glass one with the SPRING. i wouldnt wd-40 the chain all the time it sill get sand all over it. just what you want sand STUCK to yoru chain.. that vid is AWESOME its a PERFECT example of what happens just think if he had a bike with some power.. that would have been a LOT worse.. i cannot believe it was still running at the bottom.. i'd highly SUGGEST a helmet no matter where you go. even pit cruising in the golfcart with us at least can get hairy! lol. I like reading posts from people who have never been there giving advice on what to take and buy.. LOL
So Cal Suspension
If you need a GPS to navigate a place as small as LS, you need some serious help. It's only 1450 acres. Glamis is 172,000 acres. I have never once used a GPS...

So Cal Suspension
If you've never been to glamis, it's a good idea if you're not with someone who knows the dunes. I've been going since I was about 6 months old. Glamis is big enough, especially on a banshee, you could run out of gas in the middle of the dunes and be screwed. Glamis is 40 miles long, by 6 miles wide. Most people dont realize the sheer mass of glamis, and underestimate it their first time out. SandmanPNW
Wd-40 before you ride in the sand , it works just fine for us , easier clean up at the end of the day . adds protection from the sand as well . Now if you use a heavy grease based lube , then you'll have a sand magnet for a drive chain . Good luck cleaning that shit up . I never once WD'd my chain. I just wash my bike as soon as I get back home before I even unload the rest of my shit. Put it away and it still looks like the day I assembled it. jmho
