banshee9090 Posted July 12, 2011 Report Posted July 12, 2011 Hi every one , I m thinking to buy this lock up from ebay I would like to know if there is any good for this item , what would you suggest for my setup, your support is highly appreciated guys. http://cgi.ebay.com/...RK%3AMEWAX%3AIT Quote
jbooker82 Posted July 12, 2011 Report Posted July 12, 2011 I would pass on that. Get a direct drive new die cast cover. They are a new cast cover instead of hacking up an oem cover and glueing on a extension ring. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want glue holing on the side of my clutch cover. Quote
camatv Posted July 12, 2011 Report Posted July 12, 2011 if you are on a budget i would highly suggest getting the matton macine cover. for about the same money its already installed and great product! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BANSHEE-CLUTCH-LOCK-UP-COVER-BANSHEE-QUICK-CHANGE-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4aacacda2aQQitemZ320724589098QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories Quote

SOUTHTHIRTY Posted July 13, 2011 Report Posted July 13, 2011 wow that is overpriced. $150 for just the lock up cover and you still have to do all the work to make it work on your cover. +1 Quote

toytech Posted July 13, 2011 Report Posted July 13, 2011 (edited) If you read the ad, it says used cover with quick change assy installed, with bolts and gansket also. but I would have got the one Cam showed him. Edited July 13, 2011 by toytech Quote

The one we are talking about it the one from trinity for 149. It is the kit only. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250662698274&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT All you have to to with this kit is machine the necessary space out of your stock cover and install this cover. It can be done with 1211 or other silicone. I believe he did buy the one from matoon machine wich is the used machined cover and the lockup ring already installed. 10milmike Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 have heard from a few people that trinity covers leak like a bitch. I have had mine on for 3 years no problem. Quote
n2otoofast4u Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 I have had mine on for 3 years no problem. Congrats... Bottom line is that Mattoon supplies a ready to install on your bike product for nearly the same price as that "kit" that by rights many people dont have the skills or equimpent to install! Quote
