how do i know if i mixed the fuel?

Recommended Posts

Pour some out and set it on fire. If it smokes it has oil in it. Best way we've found lol

Gasoline genneraly smokes when you set it on fire.

Pour a little in to a metal cup and set it on fire. If their is an oil residue left then it is mixed.

I guess I forgot to add that part too. We do it on concrete and it leaves a residue if it has oil in it.

Besides tasting it burning seems to work best. :rotflmao:

I usually just pour some in a cup and if it has oil the oil with remain after the gas evaporates.

Some oil has a tint to it so you can see that it has been added.

fill your buddies shee with it........easy way to know if its mixed or if its not mixed. just make sure when he melts down that you go take back your race gas after he has to pull his tank......and mix....

2 stroke oil is supposed to add color to the gas for that reason.

Step 1. Buy 5 more gallons of gas.

Step 2. Remove a few ounces of this new gas and put it in a clear jar.

Step 3. Mix oil with new gas, remove a few ounces of this mixed gas and put it in a clear jar.

Step 4. Remove a few ounces of the unknown-mixed gas and put it in a clear jar.

Step 5. Compare the three gasses.

Step 6. Profit

I just burn mine to speed up the evaporation process, not to see if it smokes.
