eldreder
I'm doing a full rebuild, and i need to know what would be the best solvent to soak my cases in to disolve some of the grease. i've been thinking either gas or mineral spirits. what else is there? SAVAGE420
I always use a lil diesel and scrub it in hard then rinse, then some engine de greaser, scrub it in, then pressure wash. Comes clean as a whistle.
Josh Z
checker oreily has some shit called Purple power...... it is the shit... we use it in our solvent tank etc and it is just a water based solvent.. it works good.
Deuce
Purple power cleans great... but be careful... it will etch bare aluminum and can discolor some things. I'd personally go the kerosene/diesel route and de-greaser.

jbooker82
Start with a pressure washer / steamer if you can. 200+ deg water cuts grease pretty well.
dirtydownunder
degrease the best you can, taking the big chunks off. throw it in the hot parts washer wet bead blast it. clean it again with degreaser. comes out better than new !!!!.
