Irishchris
Just pulled my engine apart and in the right cylinder the is 2 really deep groves in on the wall. I was wondering what could cause this and is it fixable. I posted the best pic i could get with my cell.

Irishchris
did the wrist pin come out?? No the piston looked like it was on there right, the engine was running fine I was tearing it down to get it ported and put a stroker kit in it. Larry's Shee
Have you ever had this engine apart before? What does the end of the pin look like on that side? was there a cir clip there?
malcman
Wow, deja vu much. I pulled my motor apart last weekend and have the exact same marks on my cylinder. I was missing a wrist pin cir clip on that side though which would explain my marks.

Jereme6655
that has to be what happened.....a cir clip popped out or was never reinstalled and the wrist-pin wiggled a little way out.....enough to cause its to dig in hard to the cylinder walls.
