CFH87
I'm looking into buying a set of sand gecco paddle tires there basicly brand new with 8 paddles. Would they work well with a dune ported banshee on 19cc domes and shearer pipes? I'm also gunna be running stock gearing.
So Cal Suspension
No, Sand Geckos are by far the absolute worst paddles sold. You will be wasting your money completely on them. They are one of the heaviest tires made, and don't hook up for shit. You'd probably be better off with knobbies in the sand, honestly. Sorry to burst your bubble, but good thing you asked. sangheraent
ok thats a little harsh. they work decently and they wear well. no they are much better then nobbies. 3 of my friends have been running sand gekos for about 4 years and they both have no problems with them. for the price they are decent. I would suggest saving up for some better paddles. but if your deciding between no paddles and paddles the gekos will get you where you need to go. in that price range iv seen a lot of people run AMS sand sharks the straight paddles and have good luck with those. Edit: I also run sand gekos on my 250r. but I got them for free.
Boston
i wouldnt take the time to switch from nobbies to geckos... jus sayin. Ive seen descent skat traks for around 150 id much rather run half wore out skat traks then geckos anyday.
So Cal Suspension
I ran geckos for exactly half of a day at glamis. My old worn out sand shark's were 10x better than brand new geckos. I was glad I brought them on that trip.
toytech
gecko's are way better than nobbies in sand, but no where near the tire you need, you want haulers.
