sandragggen
I have a frame thats been lightened. The inframe pipe mounts have been cut off the frame. How can I mount a inframe pipe? Pic would be appreciated if you have any.
vifferman
Looks like you need to find someone who can fab up some mounts and a welder.
sandragggen
I know that would be the best way but frame is already pc'd. I bought frame with mounts already gone. Was gonna do the outta frame pipe thing but changed my mind. I'm giving bike to my son and he wants inframe pipes.
shanYE west
send a pm to stellar performance.. I think he has a clamp setup that mounts to the subframe to mount the pipe.
Boston
post a pic of what mounts are gone so we can give some better advice. or maybe we can figure it out is it the front or rear mounts that are gone?
sandragggen
I'm sorry...I should have indicated that the mounts closest to the gas tank on both sides are the ones missing.
WINDYCITYJOHN400
That's easy, you can weld a threaded rod coupling (AKA...A NUT) onto the top frame rail where the original was. Then rattle can the welded area. Once the plastic on...you'll almost never see the repair.
