You will need the cool head shell. You can either get your stock head milled.....or get a cool head and correct domes. I run a Noss cool head from Wildcard Racing with 19cc domes and it works great. I run a Noss cool head from Wildcard Racing with 19cc domes and it works great. well im bored up to a 65.5mm, does that make a difference? would i still have to get the cool head and domes all in one kit? i dont know very much about engine work haha. also, what size domes would i need? T_Shee Posted March 27, 2011 Report Share Posted March 27, 2011 well im bored up to a 65.5mm, does that make a difference? would i still have to get the cool head and domes all in one kit? i dont know very much about engine work haha. also, what size domes would i need? regular cool head domes will be fine for stock cyinders unless you have big bore sleeves put in. as was said before if you buy the head new you will usually get your choice of domes. what size you get will affect your compression. if you wanna stay on pump fuel then you wouldnt wanna go any smaller than 20 or maybe 21 (depends on your elevation). you can usually find a good used head with domes for 150 ish. just look for one with 20 cc or higher standard domes.
