Small Oil Leak

Recommended Posts

I finally got the 87 build fired up the other day. I went out to the garage this afternoon and noticed a small bit of oil under her on the sprocket side. I looked and it seems to be coming out of the hole just below the front sprocket in the case. I tried to do a search to see if there should be machined plug in it and it looks like there should be. Yamaha OEM parts finder does not show me anything. Does anyone know if there should be something there? And if there should be does anyone have a jump case they could punch one out for me?

Thanks!

there shouldnt be a hole.the only thing under the front sprocket is the neutral switch and to the right of that the shifter shaft which also has a seal.

They show the plugs on the page that shows the shift drum and forks. It is part number 90334-10006-00 if you are not able to look it up yourself. And as was mentioned, they are made for 1 install and when remove they are junk, also use some Yamabond 4 when you install them to seal it up.
