What brand clutch?

It is finally time for a new clutch in my bike.

I am on the original, 1999 bike. Pretty good huh? The bike sat for 4 years when I built my first sand rail.

Anyway, what brand does everyone recommend?

I was going to go back with stock, since it has worked just fine for this long, but that is pricey.

I haven't torn into it, so not sure if basket is shot.

Clutch works just fine, just worn out.

I only dune this bike, stock motor with mods listed in signature.

Thanks for the input!!!!

If the clutch works fine why are you replacing it? How do you know it is worn enough to replace it? On a mostly stock banshee I would use a Tusk clutch they are only like $50. I used one on my ported 350 and it worked great. How much is an oem clutch?

If it slips get another one. There is more adjustment on the clutch it self. You just have to make sure your arrows are lined up on the case. Dont buy the OEM one. You can get a much better clutch for $100 or less. Jeff at F.A.S.T. has a nice clutch for around $100 ebc makes a good clutch also for around the same price but I think you would be very happy with the tusk clutch for $50. I have used a toomey clutch for a few years and have been very happy with that. It was about $100.

I've used the tusk clutch in my stock motor, stock ported motor, and my 421 cub. Never had a problem from the dimpled steels? I would guess that design is to help hold some oil so the steels and fibers dont have a tendency to stick together.

We usually throw the steels on the shop floor and slide them around to rough them up too.
