MatHolland
400ft above sea level. +4 timing, .020 over, cut and milled head that I am unsure of how much it was cut. But I have 180 psi in both cylinders. I am wanting to run straight avgas. 110 is very hard to get in my area. Can I run avgas with this setup or do I need to get a cool head with some 20cc domes? Josh said he thinks my compression is too high and he thinks I should run 110 in my setup. He thinks that might be why my banshee isn't running right. beebs
Almost positive you would be pushing it to the limit with the avgas ay 180 psi. Think it would be best to get a diff head so you're at about 160 psi, then the avgas would be fine. Edited March 24, 2011 by beebs
Coupelx
the proper way would be to calculate the compression ratio and not go off cranking PSI.
