kjh Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 I am swapping motors out between a 90 and 02 Banshee. Will the 90 wire harness work with 02 motor and vice versa? TORS? I know I should remove the TORS but don't want to go through the expense since I am selling it. Thanks Quote

Thanks Im pretty sure the connectors will be different,but you could always swap stators out,or splice it. If the tors works hook it up and sell it,if it dont just unplug it. Quote

I know the stator plug is different, dunno about the others If you just use the 02 harness, i need an older harness if its unmolested. Quote
bansheesandrider Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 Most of the plugs are different between 90 and 02, but the only one that affects a motor swap is the stator plug. I would recomend just swapping the stator out on the motors so you have the correct stator for the year of the chassis as that way the bike will not look cobbled together and be more appealling to a buyer. As far as TORS is concerned, just leave the control box unplugged, It has a 3 wire plug and is on the frame under the left side of the gas tank beside the coil. Quote
