01BANSHEE49660
Just wondering if anyone is running aftermarket pipes with stock silencers? I know that the silencers do nothing as far as power goes. I was wondering do all aftermarket pipes connect with stock silencers? I have been looking around for a good set of used pipes. They are damn expensive.

So Cal Suspension
no because it wont run right. the back pressure will be all fucked up Not true. Yes, people have done it, and frankly do it all the time. The real question is, why? Silencers can be purchased used very cheap. <$50. Scour the for sale section and you'll come across some! Good luck!
01BANSHEE49660
I have not found ANY aftermarket silencers for 50 bucks or under. I think pipes have a HUGE mark up on them. I can't believe how expensive they are. I would love to get a set of aftermarket pipes and silencers. I have heard that aftermarket pipes really wake the banshee up. ECshee
when i see/hear a banshee with stock pipes it makes me sad, almost as sad as the bike sounds.
Banshee Chad
I modified my stock silencers to run with my cpi inframes. When I go to mountains I need spark arrestors, had these and dont have to use ugly clamp ons. They will require modifying as the stockers have that mid pipe. I used high heat silicon hose to bridge gap after I cut stockers to align. But plan on welding some more pipe to them so they are perfect. I didnt notice any power diff, but my bike is stock other than the cpi and k&n with pro flow and no lid.
