06specialedition
Just helping my buddy work on his 06 banshee, right now he has a CPI cool head which he is switching out for a Noss head. So my concern is, we took the domes out and on the bottom of the domes they are burnt black....whats the deal? I don't have any pics on here, but I do on my phone so I can text them of anyone has any ideas? His mods are: 2006 Banshee CPI Inframes CPI Cool Head W/19cc Domes K&N Pods with no air box Thanks guys, -Zach

06specialedition
Is it wet like really rich or what? The bottom of the domes are like burnt black. Almost like all the fuel isn't burning or something.....

06specialedition
I am just giving you a hard time, but a pic would really help out. My phone is a POS, I'm working on a pic though is it black sticky stuff??? could be antifreeze?....... No its not sticky at all, and won't wipe off with a rag. More like burnt black....looks like someone put a torch to the bottom of the domes and blackened them or something. I was thinking maybe the race gas he is running isn't fully being burnt? mopar1rules
What oil does he use?
jbooker82
It could be lead deposits if he is running a leaded race fuel.
06specialedition
What oil does he use? Super techniplate @ 40:1 It could be lead deposits if he is running a leaded race fuel. Thats a VERY good point. He does run 50/50 race fuel. And I believe its leaded.
jbooker82
I would say it is a mixture of the lead and supertechniplate. Supertechniplate has 20% caster oil. Caster oil burns dirty. Supertechniplate is an excelent oil just burns slightly on the dirty side.
