CGR FMX AND ETERNITY FMX ARE GONNA BE IN UPCOMING MOVIE! NO LIE!

I honestly think what you do is bad ass bro and I know JD is pumped about having his company's name on your quad. About the poking and prodding, I think the problem lies in the fact that with every post you are trying to reaffirm your value as a sponsored rider. Certainly post updates as to what's going on with your career and events, that is what is going to gain notoriety for you on this site and others. This is one of, if not THE best ATV site on the net and is full of knowledge and some VERY talented riders, but you are the only Freestyle rider I've seen on here, that in its self is going to gain support. I'm definitely not trying to bash you brother, like I said I admire what you can do on that shee. I'm sure the sponsorship will come once the companies here see the progression of your success, for now I would just say become a part of the HQ and good things will come.

thx bro, i really appreciate it. and i will take your advice.

and yes i like the g-force axle. theres been many times ive over jumped the landing and hit hard! but the axle is as straight as an arrow.lol

no man we are behind you it's cool..... i think it's the whole "look at me" " i told you so" act that will be cause you to catch slack. ok so you got some sponsorship and you're going to be in a low budget film. for just starting off that awesome man it really is, but here is the problem.

heard of H-bomb films? huevos 1-xx?

heard of nuclear cowboys?

and the other hundreds of films/riders that have been doing this for ever?

you won't be doing anything for the industry that hasn't already been done. hell i think i seen most of your tricks in the original huevo's video. again i am not taking a stab at you, or trying to discourage you one bit. i wish i was still young enough to do anything other than drag, but my point still stands.

you will catch shit from guys on this board for arrogance and if you are not prepared for critics than you might want to stay clear of movies......

Not so much that it's ALL been done before, but exhibitions don't sell the amount of product that racing does, it's that simple. I sponsor people all over the world, who race all over the place. Just shipped out a complete set of shocks, front and rear to an HQ member on here, who races and has a proven record. I think it shows poor sportsmanship to demand a potential sponsor to give away things, then when they say they won't be able to do it, to talk shit, and throw out the "I told you so". The fact is, I only sponsor people with proven track records, or people who show serious potential. There is definitely no shortage of talent out there. What there IS a shortage of, is sportsmanship. In my many years of being in this business, I have seen thousands of people apply for sponsorship, or request products and services who make huge claims, and never follow through. Therefore, myself, and several other HQ sponsors who you have asked for help from, have declined until we see a proven track record. I get phone calls almost on a daily basis of people asking for help. Generally, they all get a discount in exchange for running my stickers, and promoting my product.

You wanted something for free, just for asking. You got bitter when myself, and others told you no. I will say it again. You are talented, indeed. There is no question about that. You said in one of your other threads that you started like this one, that I run a business to make money. That is true, however, I don't make hardly anything off of this business. This is not my primary source of income right now, and mainly do it as a hobby. If it takes off in the coming years to be something that I can rely on as a sole income, that would be awesome. But donating $2,000 of suspension to something without gauranteed returns, would be a poor investment.

Since this has all been covered before, in the other two threads that you started, hopefully this will clear it up once and for all. (Third time's a charm, right?) No one is bashing you. your talent, or ambition. The reason we did not choose to sponsor you, is simply a business decision, and not a reflection of your character, or your skill.

Just out of curiosity what do you do? What is your backround in this sport other than rebuilding shocks?

You want the whole run-down? Or just a basic synopsis?

I'll just give you the synopsis for now...

I started working on shocks in 2002 when I got a job working for Thyssen-Krupp Bilstein, in the offroad department. I had always been building my own shocks, prior to that, but after receiving a VERY generous job offer, I accepted. Worked for them for 2 years, then worked for another company called Off Road Warehouse in San Diego. Built all of their shocks for about 2 years (primarily race, some recreational stuff like long travel cars, lots of jeeps, rock crawlers, etc.) I left there, and started doing this stuff on the side. My name has been on the side of countless WINNING race vehicles, and bikes. About 75% of my professional experience over the years has been focused on the off road racing community. Just in the last two years or so, have I branched off into the ATV sector, with great success. I now sponsor 13 riders, in 4 different countries. That does not include my sponsored race cars, which rarely come up in conversation on here.

I've got a decent amount of professional experience.

not here to argue, but i strongly feel that you may be looking at that all wrong.

I never once DEMANDED for sponsors to give me their products and i never TALKED SHIT on any sponsor and i wasnt throwing out the TOLD YOU SO. i was showing sponsors what they ask of me, legit proof and a schedule. i was so excited to get that info for the sponsors and was hoping to get good feedback that they were pleased. thats all i was trying to do. it was all meant in a friendly manner.

I guess we just won't agree. I really do hope you go places with your freestyle thing. If you are ever in the NV, AZ or CA area, be sure to let us know, and I'm sure there are several of us that would make the trip.

Now that this thread is over I will ask if Matt will post some pics of some of his work out side the atv world. You have me interested in what race cars you build suspension for. May be a new thread is in order!

Unfortunately, unless I pay the other sponsors who's stickers are on the cars, I can't use the pictures, or drivers names in my own promotion, unless I have written permission from the other sponsors. That's kind of how the business works. I suppose I could photoshop out all of the other stickers, and the drivers name and number... I'm not really sure exactly how it's supposed to work, but I know SCORE, SNORE, MDR, and CORR have strict rules regarding that kind of stuff. I could potentially lose my contingency. If a magazine, or other similar media with valid press credentials photographs, and publishes the vehicles with my logo somewhere visible, that's up to them to do so, but I can't use it for promotional purposes for myself. That being said, and me being a paying sponsor on this site, technically everything I post is promotion. I really wish I could, though.
