06bluebanshee Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 Hi guys I'm looking to get some pipes for my Banshee. I want something for any kind of riding mostly trails but plan on riding in the dunes too. What pipes give the best bang for the buck? Everyone says toomey t6 but they are only good for a stock bike. I might modify my bike in a couple years. I was leaning more towards the FMF fatty or the SST? But I want to have quiet silencers with spark arresters. Anyone hear if the FMF Q's are any good? Any advice would be great thanks! Quote
Judge1 Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 I have the turbine core silencers on my sst pipes and like them. If you want spark arrested and quiet the FMF Q's are really your only choice. Quote
jbooker82 Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 This is regarding Turbine Cores. The fmf Q might use the same style spark arrestor. Fmf has probably one of the best flowing spark arrested silencers. They do not have any screens to trap stuff. They have fixed fins that spin the exhaust. It forces carbon to smash against the out side of the pipe. USFS requires a spark arrestor to ethirer trap hot carbon, or break it down to a small size. Quote
