Need my crank trued

Is there someone who has the skills and tools necessary to check and possibly true my crank. It has already been welded, so I'm not completely sure it can be trued?

I really ca't wait for the 2 or so week turnaround so it would be nice if someone on here had a couple f people who could vouch for them and could get it shiped back to me in say a couple days.

Thanks, Slo

It should have been trued before it was welded, Now it is going to have to be cut apart, then trued and rewelded. You definetely need to send it to someone that does this work, NOT some hack working out of his basement or garage. AND if it is not true, you don't want to riun it as it will tear up other stuff costing you ALOT more money and time.

I called him a couple days ago. He's the first guy I call usually; his turnaround time is like 10 days, I don't have that kind of time..

Maybe I'm being paranoid; I just trued and welded it (HJR) less thn 10 running hours ago. Thing is I was riding and my flywheel nut came loose, and now there seems to be a vibration when I hammer full throttle (in neurtal) and let off. Just at real high rpm's, not real bad. Does every banshee do this?

I'm just fiddna go all out drag and I don't want anything going wrong...

And now for some useful advice- some vblocks to hold the crank and a dial indicator will get you done. the vblocks could be made out of wood as long as they are symmetrical. mount them on a flat surface and check your runout. maybe call a builder and see whats considered acceptable.

heres some link to give you an idea of what do to.

obviously the weld will be cut, or how else would you true it?

I know the weld needs to be cut, but if you read this thread it sounds like you want him to just beat on it till it is true. Nothing was said about cutting the weld. I have been playing with Banshees for over 20 years and a professional mechanic for 25 years, it's not my first rodeo.
