I wanted to go for a diffrent look so I saw some cheap crome fog lights (kinda look light trail techs). I know I should go with some trail techs but im cheap and dont have $100-$150 to drop on headlights. The are 35w lights and my question is do I need to do a DC conversion? bansheesandrider Posted February 17, 2011 Report Share Posted February 17, 2011 What kind of bulbs are they? If they are HID you will have to do a DC conversion. IF they are LEDs I am not sure, some LEDs will work on AC and some need DC. If they are standard incandesant or halogen bulbs they will work with no modification. fastquad02blaster Posted February 17, 2011 Report Share Posted February 17, 2011 You wouldn't have to do the conversion to run regular style or halogens, like stated above, buuuuut.....If you try to run too much off of your stock stator it could wind costing you. Like I said I just dont have the money to buy trail techs right now. I just saw these at oriellys while I was looking for trailer lights and thought that they would look better than stock headlights.
