I'm thinking i'm going to run 40:1 on my 01, but I was going to see what the manual recommends. Does anyone know of a site that I can get the online manual off of? I've always ran 40:1 with no issues. I think most common is 32:1 or 40:1.
bennny
I'm trying to decide between 32:1 and 40:1. 40:1 seems way far off from the recomended ratio in the manual though...any thoughts on that? Also, how many quarts of oil does our tranny take? I plan on changing mine this week before I ride and need to know
banshee55
My tranny took about a quart and a half to fill to the dip stick...
okbeast
32:1 Would you run your car with just a little less oil?
bennny
32:1 Would you run your car with just a little less oil? See i'm wanting to run 32:1. But, I have a friend telling me that i'll foul plugs running that ratio. He says i'll foul pllugs just letting it idle to warm up

camatv
oh and save yourself a lot of headache and just buy a HAYNES manual for the bike. the factory yamaha manuals are a lil hard to understand if your not used to them. the clymer manual i dont feel really does a good job and the haynes is a very well made book. check ebay or even your library
