Tombola
Hi all from across the pond! I have a 04 banshee, I done a compression test and I got 90 psi although the quad started first kick and went like the clappers. Today I installed new genuine piston rings, the bores looked fine still had the original cross hatchings. After refiting i done another compression test and i got 115psi, it still starts very well and runs better than before but when i go to pull off it often bogs down and stalls only with alot of rev's will it move. Any idea's? do you think its worth a piston kit or should i keep running it untill the rings have fully bedded in? thanks tom
bansheesrtoys
sounds like maybe your brakes are locking up or you have the e-brake on. does it roll easy or is it hard to push it?
Tombola
sounds like maybe your brakes are locking up or you have the e-brake on. does it roll easy or is it hard to push it? Its not too bad alittle stiff, although the back brake isnt on it still grabs alittle, Ive also replaced the axle bearings. Whats your views on compression i just done another test once it had cooled down and im sitting at about 120psi approx.

Jereme6655
so is there any modifications done to your bike? it almost sounds like you may be having a problem like if you have a set of aftermarket performance pipes on it but have not changed the pilot jet size....
