Jereme6655
hey whats up, just refitting my clutch, just woundering about the clutch plates, if they have to slot in a certain way? since they have the knobly bit on the outside, wasnt sure if you put them in, in a criss-cross patter or maybe it dosnt matter ?? i THINK its supposed to be offset at a 60* pattern. so like the first one goes in and the second one goes in 60* from that. The third one goes in 60* offset from second.......so on and so on.

4MiLLDraGSheE
All is how i did it except for skme reason my builder orefers a triangle arrangment of the plates not the sixty degrees. shanYE west
really isn't a wrong way to do it.. as long as they're not lined up.. its to allow oil to reach the plates.
camatv
its there to make sure the plates slipp and eat your clutch up. You were using a torque wrench at the proper spec weren't you?
Craig_b
yeah it just f*cked up, took the housing off so will be taking it into work today to try extract the stud, mite be able to drill it out from the back as the holes go all the way through but will just have to make sure its dead centre so it dosnt damage the thread
Craig_b
ok so i got a clymers manual, wasnt to much of a mission, in the manual it says to torque the clutch pressure plate bolts to torque setting in "table 3" but "table 3" is weight specification, table 6 has torque specs but just has the specs for the size of the bolt, should i just torque the bolts to the 6mm spec as shown in table 6? cheers
