crustydemon
Hey dickheads, why dont you lay off it a bit. I'd venture to guess not a one of you can ride worth a fuck. Nothing wrong with giving a traitor a little shit but get fucking real about it. If he wants a 4 stroke for trail riding so be it, if you knew what you were talking about you'd agree with him. Some people want to ride for fun and not turn it into a job. And whats the fucking deal with all the new guys on here with like 30 posts starting all of these "my pussy hurts and I want a raptor" shit? Why did you join a Banshee forum? And why the fuck are you badmouthing 450's? Get a clue or get a grizzly, thats what you really need.
Huey73
you can build a 2 stroke for whatever you want. It takes knowledge and compromise. The exact same thing it takes to build a 4 stroke.......money doesn't hurt either!lol

And thats why some people just should never own a 2 stroke.

Sounds like you are butthurt and making excuses too. There are ways to make a banshee more trail friendly. Hey dickheads, why dont you lay off it a bit. Trick2stroke
Do a 4-7 mil serval and don't look back. I've done the 4 stroke thing for trails and it's just not the same. Get your set up straight and the banshee will eat trails and mountains alive and still have the rush we all love about 2 stroke power delivery. Or get a raptor, weigh the pro's and con's yourself and figure out on your own if it's right for you, wasn't for me. Like mentioned if I were going to get a 4 stroke it would be a KTM. My 525 is pretty damn mean and they have a metric shit ton of potential.

cudaz101
I ride the Blue Mountains and alot of tight trails. I did it with the Banshee for years on FMF Fatties, Timing Plate, Vforces Reeds and a K&N w/stock airbox. Jetted right it will go places alot of the 4wd guys wouldnt go, only because they were chicken shits. Its not the greatest for jumping down fallen timber but it will do that up to a certain sized log. But yea its not the easiest quad to ride in these kind of riding conditions. Blew up my stocker setup and it took me a few years to build it the way I wanted to. Did a 4mm stroker with MX Harcore port from Kev and some other nice mods. But while I was figuring out what to do with my blownup banshee I bought a Can-Am Renegade 800 and rode the trails with that. Its a fkn beast and I doubt the Banshee will see the trails much anymore. I almost traded my Shee for a Raptor to have a second woods quad but came back to my senses and kept the Banshee. Yea a Raptor would be better in the woods at times but the Banshee will always be superior in comparison because of its reliability and simple design making it affordable to rebuild the same or bigger, better and still keeping that reliability if you build it right and maintain it. A good policy for internet forum replies is, if you wouldnt say it to someones face then think twice before you say it online and if you have to think twice about it then you probably shouldnt type/say it in the first place. I know some of you are pretty young but maybe try to act beyond your years. Brad
n2otoofast4u
HOLLY SHIT. TALK ABOUT A BALL BASHING FOR ASKING A QUESTION... OK HERES THE REAL DEAL FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS OWNED, BOUGHT, BUILT, BEEN AROUND, RACED AGAINST, ALL 3 THAT ARE IN QUESTION.... When the day is done, dollar for dollar can you build an equivelant 4 stroke for what you can a 2 stroke NO.. However, is the real world there are Raptor based buillds that will walk on damn near any and every bike owned by members of this site... (yes you dont want to believe it but there is) I would absolutely buy a 700 raptor over the 450.. The 450s are great if you want to jump, run mx, or ride short trail event but the raptors are WAY more comfortable that the 450s and there are WAY more mods out there for them.. We have an 840cc 700 based raptor that is stock framed/axle/etc than on any given weekend withh compete or be ahead of all bikes at the hill outside if the true drag bikes... Its rather fun to ride actually.. With the technology that is coming out in these you will have many years of upgrading to come that will satisfy you needs.. Will it have the 2 stroke smell? Nope But I can assure you with some basic work you will have a solid bike that will run with lots of things out there.. Companies like White Knuckle Racing have alll kinds of parts for these that range from mild to wild that will amaze even that biggest 2 stroke fan... Hope this helps.. MorrisJL
How is it the dude needs to trade his banshee....? Just have some patients, save some more green and buy the raptor...I see banshees all over the place for under 3K... depending on what he has, I doubt he gets much more then 3K for his trade in...however I'm a noob, what do I know... and not one to talk about not trading...I traded a 2002 R6 for my banshee
Justgotabanshee
hey if you want to make your banshee trail friendly... get some fmf knarlys.... trail ported cylinders at herjugsracing.... larger front sprocket smaller back sprocket i think thats the setup for more torque vforce 3 reeds..dyna fs programmable ignition... youll get a little more torque out of that and easir starts....dual K&n airfilters...off road radiatior...i think this should be good...some of the other people on here know more but there just not giving you a good trail setup...adleast i tried
