sheerider1026
so i decided to do the DC conversion and add some HID's and what-not.. i tinkered around and made this battery box.. this is the best spot for my bike since i run a stock airbox.. gonna powdercoat it black and call it good.. the baterry you see in the box is a lot shorter than the battery i will be using... i still need to make a bar or something to keep the battery in.. the box is a little oversized since im going to wrap the battery in foam.. so what ya think? sheerider1026
one more picture.. excuse the dirty bike.. the box doesnt even come close to hanging as low as the airbox.. once powdered black i'd say very unoticable

sheerider1026
alright.. im moving right along.. so far i will say this step was the hardest part.. i wouldn't call it hard but you have to be careful and take your time.. floating the ground on the stock stator.. here it is
BigRed350x
Floating the ground is always the biggest PITA IMO. I've done the conversion on a couple banshees as well. I like to use the regulator/rectifier from street bike wiring harnesses. They handle the heat/abuse better than any of the banshee ones I've found online. sheerider1026
yea.. i ordered the trail tech rect/reg says its good to 150w.. so i hope so .. i ordered a 10ah battery.. hopefully its a mod worth doing once done.. i am more concerned about the tranny i have.. stock with every other dog removed.hoping there isnt a noticable backlash
